Art

This year the focus is on the role that visual art plays and its relevance in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area and its emergence through 'World Heritage Through Children's Eyes' program.

An exhibition of indigenous artists from the region will be on display to highlight the knowledge and culture the traditional aboriginal owners and the many different indigenous communities of the World Heritage Area.

Artists to be announced.

For the inaugural World Heritage Festival we aligned and engaged with Cusco, adjacent to Manu National Park and Nazca Plains, all of which are World Heritage sites in Peru. The ‘World Heritage Through Children's Eyes' program has been developed by Nazca Dreaming Society Inc to facilitate a cross cultural exchange of art and environment between Wentworth Falls Public School and several schools in the Cusco region. The program runs for 4 months initiated by activities here in Wentworth Falls, the output from which is taken to Peru for the children to experience and reciprocate.

The combined art works will be exhibited at the festival.
