Education
Footbeat Festival will coordinate progressive, informative and enjoyable educational activities focused on World Heritage which will included school programs, environment activities, workshops and presentations relating to current and pertinent around resilience and quality of life. Other topics will be energy and water conservation, food, waste, environmental awareness, behavioural change and Indigenous history and heritage.
Living World Heritage is about doing and experiencing as much as 'being', therefore a range of workshops covering all kinds of activities and interests will be on offer. Sessions covering yoga, singing, craft making and cooking.
In collaboration with our festival partners, the festival now offers education, information and inspiration in all of the above subjects in varying formats that stimulate and engage all ages.
Due to the relationship with TAFE NSW Western Sydney Institute, Blue Mountains College will be holding their annual open day on the Saturday of the festival showcasing educational opportunities, practical application of theory, work experience and vocational development connections for its students. A number of the presentations on display at the Footbeat Festival have been specifically designed around World Heritage and Sustainability.
